Ingrid Calame
Ingrid Calame (b. 1965 Bronx, New York) received an MFA in Art and Film from the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California, in 1996; attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Skowhegan, Maine, in 1995; and received a BFA from the State University of New York Purchase in Purchase, New York, in 1987. Selected solo exhibitions include Ingrid Calame at Frith Street Gallery in London (2008); Ingrid Calame at Galerie Schmidt Maczollek in Cologne, Germany (2008); Ingrid Calame: Constellations at James Cohan Gallery in New York (2007); and Ingrid Calame: Traces of Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Forefront Series at the Indianapolis Museum of Art in Indianapolis, Indiana (2007). Selected group exhibitions include Person of the Crowd: The Contemporary Art of Flânerie at Neuberger Museum of Art in Purchase, New York (2008); New Directions in American Drawing at Knoxville Musuem of Art in Knoxville, Tennessee, The Columbus Museum in Columbus, Georgia, and the Jepson Center for the Arts in Savannah, Georgia (2007); Landscape at the Limit at the Second Street Gallery in Charlottesville, Virginia (2007); and Cosmologies at James Cohan Gallery in New York (2007). She is represented by James Cohan Gallery in New York. Ingrid Calame lives and works in Los Angeles.
